I have had the opportunity to try a few ‘custom’ clothing sites before. While the options of sleeve type and garment length are nice, they aren’t truly custom made to my measurements so when Rita and Philcontacted me asking if I wanted a custom made skirt it was a no-brainer for me. Skirts don’t often fit me well. I have more of a rectangle shape without many curves. Skirts will often be too tight in the waist and loose in the hips. The majority of the time I just size up and deal with it. But Rita and Phil doesn’t believe you need to settle for those average sizes. They make a pattern for each customer based on their measurements. Each garment is marked and cut by hand to ensure a perfect fit.
I ended up choosing a classic black skirt with leather detailing at the hips. Classic with a twist. Measuring myself was easy and I was sent a helpful guide to ensure all the measurements were correct. With all the time that goes into a custom garment, the last thing you want is for it to arrive on your doorstep and not fit!

Well when this arrived at my doorstep it was like a well-made glove. Fully lined with gorgeous cobalt blue fabric and it fit both my waist and hips! The true test was when I had to wear it all day. My husband and I had something early in the morning and then had to go car shopping (Someone hit me a few weeks ago. I was fine, but my poor car was not.). We didn’t get home until after 9:30pm, but this skirt was comfortable all day even with 5 hours of driving! Rita and Phil was kind enough to offer a 30% discount code with CustomSkirt562. It is active until 2/15/16. A custom skirt is an expense, but a good one. It’s a foundational wardrobe piece you will have for years and years and the 30% off really makes it worth it!
