There are lots of new recipes on our menu over the next two weeks! Claire has had some opinions about dinner lately and has been giving me all kinds of ideas. She has access to my Pinterest account and will actually go on and pin recipes she thinks we should try. I love the input because sometimes coming up with new dinner ideas is half the battle!
The cabbage roll soup on Menu Planning 10/4-10/17/26 is one of Claire’s suggestions after she tried something similar at a friend’s house and loved it. I can’t wait to see what we think! She’s also had a hand in a few of the other recipes we’ll be trying. Now if only she had the time to make a few of these dinners instead of just adding to my list. Ha!

Let’s Discuss!
There were definitely some winners from our recent menus! Apparently school potlucks are becoming one of my best sources for new recipes because two of these were inspired by dishes I tried at one. And when Claire declares a recipe “perfect,” I’d say that’s a pretty solid endorsement! Here’s what we thought of a few recipes we’ve tried recently before we move on to all the new dishes in Menu Planning 10/4-10/17/26.
- Chicken parmesan sliders– I had these at a school potluck and immediately needed to make them for my family. As predicted they were a hit! I think all 12 were gone in about 3 days.
- S’more cups– These were another recipe I made as a result of the school potluck. I don’t have a mini muffin tin so I used my large one and doubled the recipe. Claire deemed them perfect.
- Easy No Bake Chocolate Pudding Pie– This only took about 30 minutes to put together with items I already had in the pantry and fridge. It was delicious! I added toffee bits to the top for a bit of extra crunch.
We’ve got quite a few new recipes coming up over the next two weeks, so hopefully I’ll have several more winners to report back on! I’m especially curious about the cabbage roll soup, potsticker and rice bake, and those tiramisu brownies. Menu Planning 10/4-10/17/26 may have more new recipes than usual, but sometimes it’s fun to shake things up a little. And with Claire helping choose them, at least I know I have one person who can’t complain about what’s for dinner!
