Getting in Line with Gingham & Plaid & Confident Twosday Linkup

I love to layer clothing-mostly for the sake of practicality in the winter-but also for adding interest with colors and patterns. Fashion AND Functionality makes me one happy girl! Typically I don’t print mix as bolding as today’s outfit, but I loved how the linear patterns and colors looked together. The vest only has 2 colors and both colors are also in the button up. Since the vest and button up are in similar color palettes, it didn’t seem quite as much of a stretch. In fact, putting together this outfit with all of its layers got me thinking about layering jewelry, too! Do you layer clothing and jewelry? Or just one or the other? Now that I had my diamond rings cleaned and rhodium plated in December, I can wear them with out any allergic reactions anymore! Hurray! I typically only wear 4 rings which sounds like a lot, but really isn’t. I have my push present ring on my right middle finger that we got after I had Aveline. Then on my left hand I layer up. I have a small diamond anniversary band, wedding band, and engagement ring. I never had them soldered together. Even as a teenager, my big ‘rebellious’ act was to get second holes in my ears so I could layer earrings and wear multiple pairs at a time! Apparently I enjoy layering jewelry as much as I do clothing! Are you the same way? Let me know in the comments below!
