August is my birthday month! And what better excuse is there to put together a little wishlist? I’ve been saving things here and there that have caught my eye, so this week’s Amazon finds post is all about my August Birthday Wishlist!
I’ll be honest, not everything is below $40 this week. BUT everything is under $100, and most of my picks are still under $40. It’s my birthday wishlist, so I think a few splurge-worthy items are allowed, right?
When it comes to gifts, do you prefer quality over quantity? I think I like a little bit of both. Smaller gifts mean more gifts to unwrap, and that’s always fun! But there’s also something special about receiving that one item you probably wouldn’t splurge on for yourself. Sometimes it’s nice to feel extra special and worth the splurge!
My August Birthday Wishlist is a pretty good reflection of that. There are little beauty treats, jewelry, things for the house, a few practical finds, and some fashion pieces I’ve had my eye on. Some are already favorites I wouldn’t mind receiving more of, while others are things I’ve been wanting to try. Let’s get into it!
Beauty & Little Luxuries on My August Birthday Wishlist
I’m starting with some of the smaller treats because these are exactly the kinds of gifts I love opening! Beauty products and little self-care luxuries are fun because they’re things you might not necessarily buy for yourself. I’ve included a couple of products I already love along with a few I’ve been curious to try. And can we please talk about why SPF hand cream isn’t more common?!

- Hand cream with SPF– Why don’t more hand cream products have SPF? So many makeup products do, but our hands are exposed to sunlight just as often.
- Eye patches– Best I’ve tried!
- Inis perfume– One of my favorites. I always get asked what I’m wearing when I put it on.
- Polish pops- This is such a cute set!
- Wonderskin Lip Stain– I’ve wanted to try this for ages.
- Foot massager– This looks like it would feel so good after long runs.
Fashion & Accessories I’d Love to Unwrap
Of course my August Birthday Wishlist has to include some fashion! Jewelry is one of my favorite gifts because it’s something you can enjoy for years, and I found several pretty pieces. Opal is one of my favorite gemstones, so that earring set immediately caught my eye. I’ve also included a couple of clothing pieces that would work now and transition nicely into fall. And cooling pajamas? I’m at the age where those sound like a VERY good birthday gift. Haha!

- Cooling pajamas– Anything that helps me sleep cooler sounds amazing!
- White enamel earrings– Such a pretty neutral pair that would go with everything.
- Gold beaded necklace– I love a simple gold necklace for layering or wearing on its own.
- Opal earrings set- Opal is one of my favorite gemstones. I especially love Ethopian Opal in all the different colors.
- Satin lined beanie– Cute and helps prevent hat hair? Yes please!
- Striped top– You can never have too many striped tops, right? This one would be so cute heading into fall.
- Navy maxi dress– This looks like one of those easy dresses you can dress up or down.
Pretty Things for Home
Apparently birthdays are also an excuse to ask for pretty things for the house! Haha! This part of my August Birthday Wishlist has that mix of useful and completely unnecessary-but-adorable that I love. A beautiful lamp or wreath can make such a difference in a room, while things like pretty dish towels and a monogrammed guest towel are an easy, inexpensive way to freshen things up. And that hinge topper? Does anyone need one? Absolutely not. But that’s what makes it such a fun gift!

- Marble lamp– I love the marble detail. It looks so much more expensive than it is!
- Chalk with holders- I like to decorate a chalkboard in our entryway with seasonal greetings and these would be perfect.
- Hinge topper- The cutest bit of whimsy.
- Monogrammed guest towel– Such a pretty little detail for a powder room!
- Boxwood wreath and sash– I love that you can change out the sash seasonally and use the wreath all year.
- Hydrangea dish towels– Hydrangeas are a favorite of mine and these are almost too pretty to use!
