Casual dresses are the way to survive those last few weeks of school. Even with a super relaxed dress code, I do not feel comfortable wearing any kind of shorts to work. Instead, turning to dresses and skirts let's me stay cooler and still look somewhat professional. Dresses like this one, made of jersey, even transition well into summer for errands, play time, and church. Of all the sewing projects I've ever attempted, this dress is one I wear the most. I wish I had time to make another!

I have a sewing machine and wish I used it more. This dress is beautiful and jersey fabrics are the best in the summer. It is so pretty with your military jacket and that hot pink purse! Great color mixing!

  8. Love jersey. And greeat job Laura! My grandmother taught me how to sew but I no longer find the time to do it. So I can really appreciate your dress <3 Love the way out styled it with pink and khaki. Cool. Thanks for hosting. I am all into printed shirts right now. and although no longer sew I did some DIY here cutting it off because I did not like the lengths ;-) Sabina | Oceanblue Style
