Leopard and Pink

I got this button up to replace another one I had (seen here) that wasn't quite measuring up. It had a very boxy fit and was a little short. It just didn't work well for the ways I wanted to wear it. In fact, the longer I had it, I began to think it wasn't flattering any way I wore it. The fit of it was limiting me. I found this replacement from J.Crew on thredUP ($10 off purchase here) a couple months ago and deliberated about a week. I kept re-adding it to my cart.
It seemed like exactly the thing I was looking for, but it was about $26 for a thrifted item. Finally I purchased it. Lesson? Sometimes you need to spend a bit more for quality items, even when thrifting! This silk blend top is tailored, barely wrinkles, is so much more versatile for styling, and is the perfect length for me. It's a constant battle to not settle for things that are sort of right and hold out for things that are perfect!

  3. That is one of my favorite combos and it looks so good. I love the nude heels with it. I would have automatically reached for black, but nude looks so much better.

  7. First I love the curls....natural? Second, what a fantastic idea to pair the pink with leopard! My step mom (the 60's model) just bought those pants (but since she's shorter, they appear full length)! We're doing a series on bright pink next week! jodie

Love your curls. That leopard top looks great with the pop of pink! There is a high-end thrift store by me and the prices are a little more, but you're getting some really good brands. So worth it!

  19. Oh yes, that hair is all me! I don't even try to fight the humidity (I will lose and it won't be pretty) so once summer hits it's either curly hair or a bun for me! :) I love the idea of a bright pink week! I will have to check it out!

  20. Love this look! I have a leopard button up that hardly ever gets worn--I'll have to try something similar. I'm also quite infatuated with the pretty pink color of your pants!

  23. I do have naturally curly hair. There is no hope of keeping it straight when the humidity is this high so I try not to fight nature! ;)
