Confident Twosday: Plaid Dress

If you would have asked me a year ago how my health was, I would have told you great. I typically get a cold or two a year, but nothing too major. It's pretty rare for me to give in and take a day of rest or a day off work. Last week I was able to make it through the work week, but once the weekend hit I completely crashed.

I cannot remember the last time I slept so much. I am sure it was well before becoming a parent! This year has been kind of tough on me in regards to colds. I am wondering if it is the change in schools. Could I have become mostly immune to all my previous school's germs and now in a new school I am exposed to all new ones? Are there actually different germs at different schools? Do I need to go through becoming immune to school germs all over again?! Apparently I am completely ignorant of the germ world! Thankfully all my rest this past weekend has done the trick and I am feeling much better! Now on to lysoling my room...again! ;)

  1. That dress is the cutest. Such a fun, unique, sort of chevron-y geometric print. The hot pink statement necklace looks perfect against the print.

  2. You might be on to something though, in the fall, when I switched schools I had three consecutive sinus infections and bronchitis. I think I'm finally adjusting to the new germs though! I hope you do too. This dress is so fun and pretty!

  4. Sorry to hear you've been unwell, I hope that you don't get any more colds over the year! :) My mum works in a school but is one of the healthiest people I know, I have no idea how she does it! When my son gets sick I always end up getting sick too, makes it easier to sympathise with him though I know what he's going through, haha.

Thank you for the link up!

  7. I have no scientific proof, but I could imagine that yeah, different schools with different kids from different households have different "germs". Do you know how fast these buggers multiply and mutate?

That said, I am happy that you are feeling better and I like your dress ;-) It's a quite unusual.

Have a nice day and thanks for hosting :)

Such a great and professional look! I really like the print on that dress and the chambray shirt layered under it. The pattern goes great with your black leather quilted purse, too! I hope you don't cause anymore colds! It may just be being in a new atmosphere and around different kids that may have not been exposed to the same colds your kids had at your last school. Lots of rest always helps!

  19. I am sorry you have been feeling under the weather. I do think you develop immunity to germs in your work environment. You are probably just having an adjustment period to new germs On a positive note, your dress is fabulous! I have never shopped at Oasap but they have such cute items! Susan

  28. that is certainly an interesting thought, though I feel like it's the people bringing in the germs more than the place, and year to year, the people and the germs are different. But what do I know anyway?

Glad you are back on your feet, and you at least got the whole weekend to sleep and recover.
