Patterned Skirts for Winter

Jen from Fashionably Employed, Caitlin from Greater Than Rubies and I are teaming up again to style our printed skirts-this time for winter! Check out our summer collaboration and fall collaboration

I am not sure why, but I had a hard time styling this skirt for winter. A classic case of over-thinking. For winter I decided to try my polka dot skirt with more muted colors like gray in the form of a nice thick sweater. I've never tried this sweater with a skirt and I like the combination a lot. It was actually in my donate pile, but I think we can say it's been officially moved back to the closet now!

I've been wanting to wear my new hat from Grace Hats and thought it would be a nice compliment to this skirt with its navy ribbon. I love the earth tones in the hate and mimicked them in the rest of the outfit with my sweater, socks, and bag. And don't forget the layers because that's the only way I can bear wearing skirts during winter!

  19. I love patterned skirts! They're so fun and versatile. The one looks great styled both ways. I particularly like the outfit with the green sweater. It's a colour I might not have thought to pair with a navy skirt, but it looks fantastic!

What a fun collab! I really like how you styled booties and socks with a fun skirt! I really love both of these looks, especially that short sleeved sweater.

  21. I always think that patterned skirts are far more interesting than plainer ones. You look fabulous in grey and navy, they're perfect neutrals for your skin tone, you should wear them more often!
