I bought these pants just over a year ago for about $4 from Goodwill. I was actually looking for some purple jeans, but with the $4 price tag I figured I could give burgundy a shot, too. Turns out these were an amazing investment!
I had an idea to do a semi-regular post with an item of clothing once I've shown outfits with it on the blog to the point where the cost pre wear is under $1. I have a few items where I am very close, but now going through my archives, I guess these pants were less than $1 a wear quite a while ago! They were worth every penny I paid and I find myself reaching for them again and again! What is an item you have that has a cost per wear of less than $1?

i just some over the weekend, so i'm all for ideas that are great, like these!
ReplyDeleteAwesome find! I haven't ventured into the pants section often a thrift store because I haven't been patient enough to find a pair with the right fit. But this is motivation!
ReplyDeleteA great find! Great pair of pants and obviously very versatile.

Seriously, Laura, you are such a rockstar! Love everything from the top to the bottom, the necklace, the top, the blazer and the pumps! Reminds me of the days of dressing up. My nude pumps haven't seen the light of day in over a year!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe these were $4! I love this color for fall and the velvet makes them feel so luxurious. I think this combination and 4th and 5th ones are my favorite. So fun to see all the ways you have worn them.

I have burgundy pants and I typically wear black with them. Thanks for these great ideas! I love the teal and the gray shades paired with them!! Susan
ReplyDeleteLast year I caved and bought the Philip Lim for Target tote, and I've used that every (school) day for the past year. The only reason I could justify the purchase was knowing that it would take 10 weeks to get it down to $1/wear. And that's just over half the semester! Now I'm intrigued to see what clothing I have been able to get down that far, too. Also, what a great idea with this post! I may have to follow suit :)
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how much I like your burgundy pants, but your links didn't work again. Looking at the numerous ways you styled it, I fully understand why you kept on reaching it. BTW, posting 10 styles together is a great idea.

Such a great find. You remixed these pants very well. For me it would have to my beige vest. I have worn it 9 time and that makes it. .61 cents a wear.
ReplyDeletelove the color of those pants, so perfect for stylish fall looks!

You look so amazing.
ReplyDeleteWowzers, these were definitely an amazing purchase for you! I don't own any pants in the maroon/red/pink area of the color wheel and I am pretty sure I am missing out. I think this outfit might actually be my favorite of the 10!
ReplyDeleteFinding a deal and wearing something like crazy is e best!

Hi Jing! Thanks for letting me know about the links! Do you maybe have pop ups disabled on your computer? I am wondering if that's why they might not be working for you? Otherwise I am not sure what's going on!
ReplyDeleteYou should! I would love to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI love burgundy and these pants looks so luxe!! I love all the ways you've worn them and I agree you've got a great cost per wear on them.

P.S. Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
Don't you just love it when thrift finds end up being among the most versatile pieces in your closet? I have a few items (ahem, my white lace top) that have to be less than a nickel when I divide out the cost per wear!
ReplyDeleteThey really are such a great color and texture!
ReplyDeleteWow you've site gotten your wear out of those pants! It's funny that you were looking for purple pants when you got these burgundy ones. I found none when i was really looking for purple ones haha
ReplyDeleteAh! Those burgundy pants are so perfect, and I love how you look in them. I think my favorite outfits are the ones where you're wearing white/cream with them...but I looove the outfit with the gray wrapped sweater as well! And I love the idea of showcasing something where the cost per wear is under $1. In my closet, I know that my black v-neck dress has a cost per wear of well under $1, as well as my black/white striped tee, green vest, and all of my tall boots :)
ReplyDeletehey sweetheart!
