I actually had the opportunity to attend a boutique's fashion show a couple weeks ago and after way too much silly deliberation chose this to wear.
Top-Gap (similar aqua, similar dress) | Skirt-Oakleigh Rose c/o (exact) | Heels-BCBG (similar, similar) | Necklace-ebay (similar) | Bracelet-Groopdealz
It was really fun see the gorgeous, albet way too expensive dresses, drinking wine, having my first macaroon, and generally feeling completely out of place. I am not high fashion in any way and will most likely never own a $500 dress (unless, of course, I find it at Goodwill), but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them! Seeing them on people instead of online or in a picture makes a difference! I couldn't believe how much more life they had and how the movement made them so much more beautiful! Although it was an experience, I think if there is a next time I will be dragging a friend along! ;)

That skirt is perfection and I could see it styled so many ways! I love it! Your social event sounds fun! I feel the same way about $500 dresses, but it sure is fun to look! Susan

I would love to go to a fashion show. In undergrad, I worked at my school's bookstore, and every semester we had a "fashion show" where we'd model some new item from the bookstore. Not quite the same, haha.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skirt and you have the legs to show it off! Perfection.
