This top was pulled out of the donation pile for this outfit. I was thinking I didn't really know how to style it and just didn't really care for it when I decided it would be really cute with my new (to me) purple cardigan. I love how it turned out and it is officially out of the donate pile. I think I like how pairing it with a purple cardigan really brings out the purple in the flowers. Next I want to try it with my purple jeans. It's as if I have a whole new top now!

The first thing I noticed was how well the top and cardigan went together! This is a cute top, I'm glad you've found a way to keep it around =)
ReplyDeleteThis is why I sometimes give it a week (or month) before I actually donate my clothes! I'm happy you decided to keep it!
ReplyDeletei love it when a plan comes together! glad it didn't get donated!
ReplyDeleteThat top is so nice! Glad you decided to keep it, it does pair perfectly with purple! :)
ReplyDeleteI like to hold onto my "donate" pile for a while as well, to make sure I don't regret letting go of anything :)
Away From Blue

That top is beautiful. I am happy you did NOT donate it. LOL I love the cognac wedge pumps. Are they new?
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I got them about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty in that bright lip! And it looks like it's warming up there for you- yayyy! Spring!

I love this outfit! The colors just look really nice together! I was wearing white jeans yesterday and someone called me out for breaking the fashion rules of before Memorial Day. I had to explain that the rule is outdated and you can wear white pants year round now!
ReplyDeleteAH, don't you love it when that happens?! When you find a way to revive a top? I wonder how it would look with black, pink, and/or red!
ReplyDeleteYay for figuring out how to wear it :) love these jeans on you too!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty outfit! I love the combination of white + purple, and I've been looking for shoes exactly like yours--I will definitely have to check out the links to similar items.
ReplyDeletesuch deep, rich colors

I am having a garage sale next weekend and I keep pulling items out of the bags and trying to style them! It feels like I have been shopping!! I love printed tops with white jeans. I am still searching for the perfect pair! You look beautiful, as always! Susan
ReplyDeleteThat just cracks me up! The fact that people feel the need to be fashion police and make you justify a clothing item is hilarious to me!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm pretty sure she was joking, so I wasn't offended! People are always giving me a hard time about fashion, because they know I care about it!
ReplyDeletei have this top too, laura, and rarely wear it because it's so sheer and i can't find any tanks that look ok layered underneath it. i love it with the rich purple shade of your cardigan though so maybe layering a cardigan over it is the way to go! thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that! I've tried it a few other ways, but I think I like it best paired with lighter colors. My problem was I was pairing it with black and it turned out too dark looking for me!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is perfect. So spring-y, with the white jeans and floral, but also warm enough for this crazy weather.
ReplyDeleteOoh, pretty blouse! I love the floral print, and the colors are great :) I'm glad this top is saved, because it is beautiful! Also, love the white jeans - I've been looking for a pair for AGES!
