Well it’s been 365 days of blogging, 330 posts, 234 outfit posts, 66 shared recipes, and countless hours spent. But every second, every word, and every comment was totally worth all the effort. I have learned far more than I ever thought, ‘met’ so many amazing people, and had so much fun the entire time.
Thank you so much to the regular readers, those you stop by occasionally, and even those who have only read one post! I am so incredibly excited to have a week full of giveaways to celebrate! I am partnering with some fantastic boutiques and can’t wait for Monday to get here (for once and probably the only time in my life)! So make sure you check back on Monday and throughout the week to enter! Thank you all again! I love blogging and you all make it so much fun!
Today I am sharing one of my favorite bar recipes. I love a good peanut butter dessert! This is a perfect one because of the peanut butter in the bars and in the frosting!
1. To make them mix together 1c. brown sugar, 1/2c. peanut butter, 1/2c. butter, and 1 egg. Add in 1t. vanilla and then 1 1/2c. flour, 1t. baking soda, 1/4t. salt, and 1/2c. oatmeal.
2. Spread it in a greased 10×15 pan. I have a pampered chef roller and used it to make the dough nice and flat in the pan. It works really well and this way it bakes flat and makes frosting easier! Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
3. While the bars are cooling, mix 2T. butter, 2T. peanut butter, 1 1/2c. powdered sugar, 2 1/2T milk, and a dash of salt until creamy. Spread on bars once full cooled.
