Valentine's Day with Pink, Polka Dots, and Sequins!

When Whitley posted an outfit with an amazing pink Banana Republic sweater with sequined elbow patches I fell in love. Elbow patches are adorable, but sequined ones?! I die. Of course, the sweater was sold out. But I figured with a little closet remixing I could get the feel of her outfit without buying anything. That is what I love about inspiration. You don't have to try an copy exactly. I took what I liked most about the outfit, or certain elements of it and recreated my own version. Although I still might have to attempt some DIY sequined elbow patches in the future...

  20. Ok so yesterday I went through a bag of items I have ear marked for a garage sale. I pulled out a cream vest that I have had for years and just never wore. It does not have sequins, but it is similar to the one you are wearing. And I have a polka dot blouse! I am keeping the vest now thanks to you!! You give me so many great ideas! Thanks friend! Susan

  21. Great outfit, girlie, it's amazing how one can take inspiration from one outfit and totally make it one's own!

And I'd try calling around to different stores for that sweater, some might still have it on clearance :).

Thank you so much for tagging me!
