Winter Must Haves: Scarves and Necklaces

It's week 5 of Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood and my Winter Must Haves series. This week we are discussing neck wear! Infinity scarves and long necklaces are fun accessories for winter. I love layering my long necklaces over sweaters and long sleeved shirts.
Ada has a great casual take on long necklaces. Her gold necklace really stands out against her striped shirt. She really added some nice interest with her necklace and I love the color of her pants! I think long necklaces look so nice in contrast with a crewneck shirt. Ada incorporated some gorgeous color in her infinity scarf outfit. I really like how the magenta accessories pop with her mint top. What a fun clutch and scarf. Did you see those cute gloves, too?!  Make sure you check out Elegance and Mommyhood for more details on her two adorable outfits!
And don't forget toWeek 1Week 2, Week 3, and Week 4 of our Winter Must Haves!

I love remixing this dress. It goes with everything! I've worn it with my leopard scarf several times, but haven't tried it with my red sweater yet. I saw Fran from Franish wear hers similarly(pinned here) on her year end recap and had to recreate it my own way. It's a great pop of color on a grey, winter day! Also a little secret: this isn't an infinity scarf. I tie the ends of almost all my scarves together because I find them easier to wear that way. Sneaky, sneaky! Seriously though if you only own one scarf, I highly recommend a leopard print one. It literally goes with everything and makes pattern mixing so easy. It's a great way to try out animal print if you are a scaredy cat like me, too!

I really wanted to try out my new vest and I loved the way it looked with my necklace so I built my outfit around them! Never thought I would own a fur vest, but I love how soft it is. Claire likes to 'pet' it, too! The polka dots add some visual interest as well.
Need a long necklace? Check out this, this, and this!

  1. Love both of these, especially the dress and cardigan! I tie most of my scarves to fake an infinity scarf too, it's usually a lot easier that way!

  8. Thank you so much Ashley! I was a little unsure about it, but liked the neutral color and for $10 I figured I could at least give it a try. :)
