I have to admit, after about 130 straight posts, it felt a little strange not posting yesterday. But it was nice to have a little extra time to start drafting posts for this week and add links in, too. Oh, and catch up on some sleep! For those of you who follow me on instagram, Matt, Claire, and I went to meet my parents at an apple orchard by their house. I know, I know, we went to one last weekend (And I promise we do things besides visit orchards during the weekends), but this orchard is much bigger and locally famous for their amazing apple cider doughnuts. They did not disappoint! Claire got her first taste, too and approved wholeheartedly. She enjoyed the apple cider, too. It was such a perfect day and I think the temperatures are finally starting to drop and fall is coming! I even saw the leaves changing on a tree the other day. Changing seasons is always a little bittersweet, isn't it (not counting winter changing to spring of course)? Summer is over meaning I'm not at home with Claire, but I love the colors, flavors, and layering of fall.

  1. The orchard sounds fun (and delicious!) I like to draft up most of my posts on the weekends now too (including an outfit this week super similar to yours, I love that ON top!)

  2. So jealous of your orchard visits! I miss apple cider and all things fall. We don't get much of a fall season in Texas. Cute outfit, I love your cobalt!

  4. It's so comfortable, isn't it?! Weekends are great to get pictures cropped and put in posts, even if I have to write in them later. It's saves me so much time during the week!

  5. If you ever get the chance, you should go! Definitely a fun family outing. I hate it when I don't have a few posts scheduled. It makes me feel so behind!

  6. When I lived in the western part of Texas that was something I missed, too. A cactus doesn't really change colors and shed its leaves! ;) At least you will never have 12 inches of snow at a time!

  7. Thanks Kim! The apple cider doughnuts are delicious and I bet they wouldn't be hard to find a recipe for!
