I know pictures are important for a fashion blog. So I know it's really lame of me to never have taken decent quality ones before. It isn't that we haven't had a DSLR camera, it's just hard to find the time (and by the time my husband gets home from work, I want to be in my yoga pants)! I applaud all the bloggers who are able to get their pictures done every day. Also, I feel completely idiotic posing. It's a good thing I'm not a model! I wouldn't be able to pay the bills (besides the fact I'm 5 inches too short and probably 20lbs over 'model' weight). Anyway, it's all a work in progress! Hopefully I can get a remote and do it myself soon.

  1. I look back at my early posts and remember how awkward I felt (and looked) I think you look great. I did get a remote and tripod a few months ago a d it's wonderful and sooooo freeing. Definitely a good investment when you're ready :)

    1. Glad to hear it will get better! We have a tripod, and my husband came home from Target today with a remote! Can't wait to try it out :)

  2. I hear you! I had my husband take my pictures for the first few posts that I did and it felt so weird. He was really sweet about it and he thinks my blog is a good idea so it's not like I felt judged, just... weird. And I had the same problem with waiting until he got off work. So I started using the self timer and a tripod and I feel a lot freer to do stupid poses with no one looking and knowing I can take as many as I need to get a few good ones instead of asking my husband to take "just one more." I'm still trying to find my groove as far as posing, but at least I can experiment and no one's the wiser! These photos are great. I hope you find something that works for you soon too!

    1. My husband was really nice about it too, but it still feels weird. I bet it's a lot better when you are the only one seeing your poses! It's great seeing how other people pose, that helps a lot.

  3. Good for you for taking these shots! It feels awkward and weird at first.. but it will get better! I promise :) My advice - take as many pics as possible so you have options to choose from. Love the color of your top paired with the polka dot skirt - such a cute outfit! Visiting from the Real Girl Glam linkup! :)

  5. You look great! I take my own pics using a remote. It's a little less-awkward. But still pretty awkward. :)

    1. Thank you! I've been on the search for a remote that works with our camera, but haven't been able to get to Best Buy. Can't wait to be able to do it on my own!
