I was fortunate enough to be able to study abroad in college. I wanted to spend my money traveling, but also wanted something to remember my time there. Being a Girl Scout made me think of getting patches at the many cities and countries I visited for a coat. I found this fleece jacket at an IZOD outlet the summer before my semester abroad for $20 (bonus!). It was a perfect lightweight layer during my trip as the weather turned colder (I was gone late August through mid-November). Finding and choosing patches was fun and inexpensive. Once I got back I sewed them all on. It turned into a great souvenir and way to remember my wonderful time in Europe. It’s a great conversation piece, too!
