Just like in my last menu planning post, I didn’t try any new recipes over the recent weeks. Our lives have been way too busy and our weekends have been completely packed with swim meets. Because our girls are different ages, we have a morning session for one of them and then need to stay until 4pm for the afternoon session for the other. They love swimming so much though. It’s hard to know where to say no.
I did make time to bake some of my family’s favorite desserts though. For Valentine’s Day I gave Matt a choice of Red Velvet Cake or Almond Torte. He chose the torte and we have been enjoying thin slices (it’s rich!) after dinner.
