I do like to try new recipes every week or so, but the total prep+cooking time depends on our family schedule. Since my husband travels a lot for work, when he is out of town, I keep new recipes to quick ones or made in the slow cooker. For Menu Planning 11/16-11/29/25, I found a one of each since Matt will be traveling. It’s a nice compromise between trying new flavors, without trying to do too much. Here is what we are eating over the next 2 weeks. Don’t forget I also I post weekly recipes through the link on my instagram profile. Please follow me there. I appreciate the support!
- 11/16-11/22
- 11/23-11/29
- Lasagna Soup
- Creamy Salmon
- Thanksgiving Dinner- smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, asparagus casserole, cranberry sauce, cream cheese pumpkin bread, hot wing dip, pumpkin pie, apple bars
- Turkey Cranberry Sliders (add some bacon jam if you have it! Yum!)
- Saltine Toffee
Let’s Discuss!
Over the past 2 weeks, I made a few new recipes. We also celebrated Aveline’s 8th birthday. Since we were eating cake, I didn’t get to make Gooey Biscoff Crumb Bars yet, but I will soon. It looks delicious! Here are my thoughts on the other new recipes I’ve tried:
- Swamp Soup– How fun is the name of this?! It was easy to make and quick to put together. The flavors were good, too.
- Creamy Tuscan Shrimp Orzo– I liked this, but would recommend seasoning the shrimp while cooking. It was bland otherwise.
- Buffalo Chicken Spaghetti Squash– Delicious! It can be a bit one-texture so I mixed in some steamed broccoli which helped.
- Creamy Dill Pierogi Soup– The family really enjoyed this. We all love pierogis, but haven’t had them in soup before.
