The girls are in school and I haven’t started working yet. Do you know what that means? I have a week or so with a little bit of free time! This summer has been nuts with activities, planning trips, and a birthday party for Matt so I think this is well-deserved. Since so many great fall pieces are in stores, I wanted to share some try-ons. I headed to Old Navy and there are many great pieces. The sales are better online so make your purchases online for better pricing. Currently they are 30% off through the end of today, 8/29. Here are some of my Old Navy fall workwear picks.
Satin Blouse ($30) & Wide Leg Pants ($50)
These pants are perfection! I’m 5’5″ and they do not touch the floor even with the flattest of flats. These pants are very flattering and comfortable to wear with a wide elastic band. They run TTS and I’m wearing a small. The satin blouse is pretty and lightweight and comes in several colors.
Satin Popover Shirt | Pixie Wide Leg Pants
Cropped Cardigan ($30) & Mini Skirt ($35)
Although this is a miniskirt, I think the length is still work appropriate, especially if you wear with tights and/or boots. The colors in the print are perfect for fall. The burnt orange color really brings out the orange in the tweed print.
Cropped Cardigan Sweater | Mini Skirt
Henley ($22) & Boyfriend Jeans ($55)
This is an elevated version of a henley with the puffed sleeves. It would work well with a skirt or trousers for work or dressed down with denim. It comes in several colors and fits TTS.
Puff Sleeve Henley | Mid Rise Boyfriend Jeans
Shirt Dress ($45)
There are so many great options for a versatile dress like this one. You can wear it like this, belt it, unbutton it to wear overtop an outfit as a long layer.
Shaker Stitch Cardigan ($35)
This cozy cardigan is a fall staple and Old Navy has many solid colors in addition to a few patterns. I paired it with a dress, but it would look really nice with jeans or pants, too.
Shaker Stitch Cardigan | Fit & Flare Combination Midi Dress
Fit & Flare Midi Dress ($45)
This dual fabric dress is so cute! It also comes in many colors. If you are larger up top, I’d recommend sizing up. It does have pockets and would layer well under a cardigan or blazer.
Fit & Flare Combination Midi Dress
Split Neck Top ($30) & Trousers ($50)
This was my favorite outfit of all I put together. I love these pants and have them in my online cart now. The size small were just the right length. They have an elastic waist in back so the front is flat, but you still get the comfort of an elastic waist. The ruffle top adds a little femininity. There are several solid colors of the top and pants and even a matching blazer.
Ruffle Trim Smocked Top | High-Waisted Taylor Trouser Pants
Split Neck Top ($28) & Utility Pants ($25)
This blouse is the perfect fall floral! I like the bright orange shade in it. It’s sure to brighten up a work outfit. I paired it with utility pants. I love the shade of these pants, but think they run a bit big. They also have a hammer loop. I’m not sure how I feel about that.
Long Sleeve Split Neck Top | Pulla Utility Pants
Midi Dress ($40)
Isn’t this plum color so pretty?! I love these rich jewel tones for fall. I normally don’t go for such fitted dresses, but found this to be flattering. The length would be good with sandals now and boots or sneakers as the weather cools off.
So what did you think of these Old Navy fall workwear outfits? What I love about Old Navy is they have fairly classic items that are work appropriate, affordable, comfortable, and washable. It’s often my go-to place for denim and workwear pants.
Last week’s favorite post was from Amy at Amy’s Creative Pursuits. She styled some cute summer denim.
