In the words of Pinkalicious, “Pink is powerful.” There was definitely a time in my life where I gravitated away from bold pink pieces. Pink is such a stereotypically feminine color. Every time you walk into the girls’ clothing section or toy aisle in a store, it’s an absolute explosion of pink. Whether consciously or unconsciously, as you grow up, many people avoid pink. Why? Well, I think it is because you want to be seen as a serious adult and since bright, bold pink is associated so much with young girls, you avoid those shades. I’m so over that. It’s honestly ridiculous to avoid a color because of silly stereotypes associated with it. As I get older, I believe everything feminine holds power. We as women are amazing, strong, and incredible! We can do anything! I am proud to be a woman and everything I’ve accomplished. So I will wear my pink proudly whenever the heck I want because pink is powerful and so are YOU!
