Every year families get together for Thanksgiving. We bring food, make food, and share it while enjoying our time together. Then after everyone leaves with their stomachs stuffed and pants a little tighter, we are left with SO. MANY. LEFTOVERS! I really hate letting food go to waste so the past 2 years when we’ve hosted I’ve made it my mission the week after Thanksgiving to use as many of the leftovers as possible. Of course this year we will probably end up with even more leftovers since it will be just our family of 4 eating, too. Good thing I’ve rounded up some of my tried and true favorite recipes to share with you so you aren’t stuck eating the same Thanksgiving Day leftovers! These recipes really mix them up and some of them you can freeze for later!
- Cranberry Bread– cranberry sauce can make a delicious cranberry bread that you can freeze for later! I made this last year and it was really tasty!
- Turkey & Cranberry Sliders– probably my favorite recipe I tried! My only regret was I didn’t make a double batch!
- Potato Focaccia Bread
- White Turkey Chili– I added leftover corn and chopped bell peppers from a veggie tray to this.
- Turkey Tacos- just cook 1lb turkey in skillet and add packet of taco mix with water according to instructions. Serve with cheese, salsa, and other toppings!
white chicken chili can be made with turkey!
- Stuffin Muffins
- Thanksgiving Ring
- Thanksgiving Eggrolls with Cranberry Sauce
- Sweet Potato Bread– I used sweet potato casserole to make bread last year and it was delicious!
- Vegetable Soup- Mashed potatoes can easily thicken soup broth! Leftover vegetables from an appetizer tray or side dishes can be tossed into a soup!
- Thanksgiving Casserole
- Jambalaya– use up ham in jambalaya!
- Turkey & Artichoke Frenchbread Pizza- Use pesto as ‘sauce’ and add red onion, turkey, artichokes and top with cheese. Yum!
- Turkey Pot Pie Soup
Is your tummy rumbling as much as mine is? Those pancakes and stuffing waffles sound SO good! I can’t wait to try out some new ones this year! Which recipes caught your eye?
