I’ve noticed I never do well during months when I fail to make a specific spending plan in advance. Then it seems everything catches my eye and ends up in my closet. While this is not always a bad thing, because I do end up loving the items I get, it’s not the greatest way to manage a budget. If I have a set plan in mind I can search only for those items. This was the case with my amazon purchases. The Target purchases and blush pants all filled holes in my closet and will be very versatile, but the jumpsuit, cami, shorts, and earrings were more impulse buys. Overall though I’m still happy with everything and I was still under budget so I can’t be too mad at myself!
I feel like I should also explain the amazon gift cards. I have a few different apps I use to upload receipts that I can earn gift cards with. Typically the gift cards I use are from those apps like Receipt pal, Receipt Hog, Ibotta, and Checkout 21. I also sometimes get amazon gift cards from our Verizon up rewards. It all helps decrease the bottom line so that is why you see amazon gift cards instead of me paying the full amount out of pocket.
For next month I’d still like to be on the lookout for a few workout tank tops and maybe a pair of shorts or two for running. I don’t like spending a lot on workout clothes. I just need them to be functional! Hopefully I can find some on sale or a clearance rack! I also have a gift card to Aritzia from a collaboration with them that is burning a hole in my pocket. I like a lot of their summer things, but their wool winter coats are gorgeous. It’d be nice to have a dressier grey coat and they have some on sale.
