How to Make Your Home Feel More Cozy

There is something about the way my home looks and feels during the holidays that I’d love to have last the whole year! Transitioning from winter to spring doesn’t mean you have to lose coziness.

Create atmosphere with a home fragrance

How to Make Your Home Feel More Cozy

Part of a cozy feeling is not just how it looks, but also how it smells! You can really add to the cozy feeling in your home with a home fragrance like Glade® Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Fragrance Mist. The four fragrances in the collection are infused with essential oils, and masterfully crafted fragrances, comparative to a high-end room spray but with an affordable price that accomplishes the same end benefit! You can help to set the mood in your home and make it a reflection of you and your style with one of the fragrances in the collection. They are easy to use as well- simply spray up and sweep side to side. It is a continuous spray. I found all four fragrances at my local Walmart and had difficulty choosing a favorite! The No.1 Enraptured™ mist has notes of jasmine, rose, apple, and honeysuckle. No.2 Bright™ mist smells of raspberries, jasmine, apple, and sweet pea, and powder musk. No.3 Free™ scent contains notes of pineapple, citrus, beachy florals, coconut, and vanilla. Last but not least, the No.4 Tempted™ mist has hints of spices, vanilla orchid, freesia and amber. Depending on how you'd like your home to smell and what atmosphere you'd like to create, there is a great home fragrance just right for you!

How to Make Your Home Feel More Cozy

Use extra pillows in your living roomHow to Make Your Home Feel More Cozy
A comfortable couch with lots of pillows practically invites you to spend some time with your feet propped up or to take a nice nap each afternoon. A few extra pillows can really up the coziness factor. I love to switch out pillows on our couch and I've learned to make it feel cozy, add 2-3 on each side. If there is the budget, getting some down pillows for the couch with interchangeable covers would make your living room feel much more inviting and cozy! When choosing pillows, stick with 1 or 2 main colors. Add in different textures like faux leather or fur. Make sure you have different pillows in 1-2 prints/designs, and use different sizes to create visual interest and a more welcoming look.

Add and extra throw blanket
How to Make Your Home Feel More Cozy
What is cozier than a soft blanket? It is so nice to have a few around the living room draped over a chair or the couch or folded in a basket, available whenever you want a little extra warmth or to pull over you when you want an afternoon nap. Soft fabrics like a thick knit or fuzzy blanket can really help a home feel more cozy.
