I am not going to lie, the past 2 weeks have been kind of rough. My husband has been traveling a lot for work and it's not fun to be the only one getting up multiple times a night getting bottles (even if your daughter is the cutest thing ever and gives you the biggest smiles when you pick her up). This past weekend I got a little break for myself and it was wonderful! A friend and I went to Board and Brush to make a sign. This was my first time going to anything like that and I loved it. I really enjoy making crafts and do it fairly often with my oldest daughter Claire so this was right up my alley. It was nice to have all the supplies laid out and ready for me and no clean up afterwards!
I ended up wearing this sweater from SheIn and my new distressed jeans from Old Navy when we went since it is a super casual atmosphere. I ordered a medium in this sweater, and you can tell it is a fairly relaxed fit. It's pretty comfortable and has a fun lace up detail in the back. This sweater is a pretty chunky knit so keep that in mind when ordering depending on how thick you like your sweaters. You might be able to tell it's an open knit in some areas so I wore a cami underneath for modesty and warmth. I love the color, I just wish it was a little heavier so it would hang more nicely on me.

This pastel pink is lovely on you, even if you aren't overly happy with the way it sits on you, I like it though! :)
ReplyDeleteHubby's on a big project at work and has been away a lot lately - it is so tough, but I'm lucky my boys are a little older so don't need me too much. Hope things get easier for you soon! :)

I'm glad you got a little time for yourself - it's not easy when you're getting up in the middle of the night - sleep deprivation is rough! The first thing I noticed in your photo is the lack of snow - yay!!! I love my ON jeans, yours look great on you with that pretty sweater! Have a great day Laura!

It's hard to go at it alone especially since you have a baby. My son is almost 4 but my hubby's schedule has gotten busier with work and I want to pull my hair out so I don't know how you do it with 2 young ones. I love this pink sweater on you. The color is a nice shade of pink and suits you really well. I hope this weekend you get another break. I know I am anticipating my dad's arrival to town this Saturday because he is helping me with the little guy. I can barely wait!

One can never go wrong with outfits like this. It is an outfit formula that works ALWAYS. Actually a few weeks ago I wore a very similar outfit with heels, distressed blue jeans and my beautiful off-shoulder cream sweater (will blog it soon). I am glad you went out and had fun with a friend.

I can imagine it is hard to have to do everything on your own. But you re looking good!😁😁😁😁
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I hate when my husband travels... and sometimes it is quite often. Whenever he texts me that he has a trip coming up, I just cringe! Lol! And, I don't have a newborn, but it's a lot of work in the evening and night! I love this light pink sweater on you and I like the amount of distressing on those jeans. I've been wanting to make one of those boards/signs!
