Striped dresses have my heart. There are so many ways to style a basic striped dress. Years ago I picked one up at H&M for around $10. And it's definitely been worth its weight in gold. But the longer you have a piece, the more time you have to evaluate the features. While I loved the jersey fabric, length, and neutral colors, there were some things that didn't work so well.

The neckline was fairly low requiring me to always wear a cami underneath. And the white was actually an off white so it didn't always match the way I wanted it to with other items. The sleeves were cap sleeves so I could layer a long sleeve shirt underneath, cap sleeves alone are not very flattering on me.

This striped dress is one I just got from SheIn. It has the color blocked stripes on the neckline and hem which I love! The length is similar and the fabric is stretchy and comfortable. It also has long sleeves perfect for cooler weather or you can push them up for spring (even summer for me if I will be in AC). A good striped dress will always make you feel confident!

  23. So funny you're wearing a striped dress for today's post---yesterday when you announced the 40% off at Shein---that's exactly what I had in my cart (the one with the contrasting sleeves & pockets).
Yours is quite interesting with the border of white at the top & bottom!!
Striped dresses are really are wonderful, but my closet is by no means lacking of anything---so I'm trying to be strong and say no!!
