Poppy Skirt and Mint Top

For a while I was a little 'stuck' with how to wear this skirt. There is so much red in it, pairing it with a red top would be too matchy-matchy. By turning to complimentary colors I was able to find a few more options allowing me to have more versatility. I also think different shades of blue, pink, and mint, like I have on will work really well with it! Do you turn to complimentary colors when 'stuck' with how to wear an item?

  5. Mint is a perfect pairing for this skirt! Sometimes when a print has too many colors I feel like it's harder to style without being too matchy. But your poppy skirt here has simple enough colors that would make it perfect for remixing with different colors!

  16. When I'm stuck, I think of the color wheel and the few tricks - like pairing two adjacent colors, two colors that are across the wheel, or the group of three (every other). I've been having a hard time figuring out what to wear with my new orange print skirt, I'll have to see how it looks with mint! Thanks for the inspiration :)
