Summertime means heat and humidity-and typically me struggling to control my hair. Often my solution involves throwing my hair up in a bun. A girl has to have options though! Today I am sharing how I was able to get laid back, beachy waves with the John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Collection. Even though they are Beach Blonde™, they can be used with any hair color types.
You can find John Frieda® easily at Walmart. The Beach Blonde™ Collection was right with all the other fantastic John Frieda® products.

First shampoo with Beach Blonde™ Cool Dip™ Shampoo and follow up with Beach Blonde™ Smooth Seas™ Conditioner. The shampoo helps to nourish your hair while the conditioner works to help detangle. I noticed how soft my hair was after using them. The refreshing, minty smell of both the shampoo and conditioner are a nice pick-me-up in the morning, too!

After you have towel dried and brushed your hair, spray in the Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray liberally all over your wet hair. It's infused with sea salt and has an amazing coconut scent and helps to add texture to create those perfectly undone waves.

Beginning at the front of your head, take one inch sections of hair and twist together. Repeat until all of your hair has been twisted. This helps create those effortless, beachy waves. If you have curly hair like me, it also helps to control the frizz. It helped me achieve the wavy texture I wanted and not the big curls I typically have.

Once you are done twisting, allow your hair to air dry. Add more Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray if you want more texture. You can tousle your hair with fingers to separate the twists if needed. Mine was perfect as is so I didn't touch it!

This is a great to-go look for summer that takes minutes and looks like you spent much more time on it!

  4. I am wondering if this works as well if you blow dry your hair. I have super fine hair and it looks very limp if I allow it to air dry. I LOVE these waves so maybe I will try this with a hair dryer! The air dry method will be perfect for my daughter! She will love it! Your hair looks amazing and I love that tunic!! Susan

I need to try this, especially when I'm going to be out in the humidity all day and I know my hair is going to frizz! Thanks for the hair tutorial and those products sound awesome (especially the scents!). Those jeans were made for you and you look so hot with the bright heels on with them!

I twisted my hair this weekend when it was wet and I really like how it turned out. I will need to add some of my beach wave product to it next time. You hair is so beautiful curly!

  25. Your beach waves turned out great Laura! I got a few samples of those from Influenster but didn't do the twisting trick like you, maybe that's why my hair didn't get wavy! It looks great with your bright heeled summer outfit!

  26. If you blow dry it, try it with a diffuser. That would add some volume to it! Typically when I want to go full-on curly, I use a diffuser. For my already curly hair, air drying worked best with this product to create the waves, but I bet the blow drying would work better for you!

  27. Wow! Your beachy waves looked a lot better than I could have imagined. I have always wanted to try a beach wave spray before but I have never gotten around to it. I really like the twisting technique although I am not sure if that would work on my hair. I usually like to put gel in it and then twist it into a bun and let it set over night. Then I can get waves for a couple of days!
