I got this button up to replace another one I had (seen here) that wasn’t quite measuring up. It had a very boxy fit and was a little short. It just didn’t work well for the ways I wanted to wear it. In fact, the longer I had it, I began to think it wasn’t flattering any way I wore it. The fit of it was limiting me. I found this replacement from J.Crew on thredUP ($10 off purchase here) a couple months ago and deliberated about a week. I kept re-adding it to my cart.
It seemed like exactly the thing I was looking for, but it was about $26 for a thrifted item. Finally I purchased it. Lesson? Sometimes you need to spend a bit more for quality items, even when thrifting! This silk blend top is tailored, barely wrinkles, is so much more versatile for styling, and is the perfect length for me. It’s a constant battle to not settle for things that are sort of right and hold out for things that are perfect!
