Now that we are finally getting some Vitamin D here, we are enjoying more and more time outside. Claire constantly begs to play outside with her multitude of toys. She already knows how important her ‘suncream’ is first though.
Claire is very good about bringing us her sunscreen bottle and waiting patiently while we put it on her and ourselves before going outside. Her little face broke out a little a few weeks ago so when I had the opportunity to try out a few products from Block Island, I was very interested in their Natural Mineral Sunscreen. It has a very pleasant scent and goes on so light unlike typical sunscreens. It also contains no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, dyes, or artificial fragrances. She knew right away when I took this out of the box what it was and decided it was hers! We haven’t had any issues since switching to Block Island sunscreen with her skin. What a relief!
I also had the opportunity to try out their Organic Revitalizing Night Cream and their Organic Purifying Facial Cleanser. Like the sunscreen, I found both to be extremely gentle. The night cream was not too heavy and absorbed quickly. Although a night cream, it can also be used during the day. The cleanser washed my make up off easily and didn’t irritate my eyes at all (because I am lazy and don’t use eye make up remover). Typically I feel the need to apply moisturizer immediately after washing my face, but this didn’t leave my skin feeling dry. Each had a light scent that wasn’t overpowering and you only needed a small amount of each product. Oddly enough, one of my favorite parts of these were the bottles and caps. Many cleansers are pumps (like this one), but do not have a cap making travel difficult. Either the pump accidentally depresses and you have a mess all over your bag, or you have to waste some product by twisting the pump closed. I thought these were much more convenient to travel with! Overall I am very impressed with all the products I was able to try out!
I received these products in exchange for mention in a post, but all opinions are my own.
