Pink Tweed Skirt and Fox Sweater

I finally finished watching the final episode of Downtown Abbey last night. Is anyone else as excited about Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes?! I was thinking that something was finally going right for two of the characters on that show and then I read this. I speak to you Julian Fellowes: I cried! Balled with happiness at the end of that show. Don't you dare break them up you big meanie! Ok, rant over. I just wait another 9 months to actually find out the answer (or try and read the spoilers when it airs in the UK).

On to this outfit! I bought this skirt on a whim after seeing it on ThredUp (referral link for $10 off first purchase!) right before reviewing my cart and checking out. It might be one of my favorite purchases. I was so pleased how well my fox sweater went with it. The pink glasses on the little guy match the skirt perfectly/ My skirt and sweater also coordinated well with one of Stylish Mode's knit headbands!
Winter in Wisconsin is absolutely freezing. Who am I kidding?! Spring in Wisconsin is freezing! There is still a foot of snow on the ground. It helps to have options to stay warm when you have to be outside. Headbands are especially nice because of the decreased possibility of the dreaded hat head and increasing your hairstyle possibilities (knit hats+ponytails just don't work together)! I love the color of this and how the neutral color goes with all my coats and scarves. It's very warm and well-made. Maybe there is a silver lining it's still so cold here-I get to wear my new headband a while longer!

Go enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Stylish Mode on yesterday's post.
Use code "dodeclaire" for 10% off your purchase until March 15th, too!

  1. Love the texture of your skirt! Such a pretty piece! And I'm sure I've said it before..but I really like that top! :)

Can't comment on the Downtown Abbey stuff though - never really watched it! I don't watch much TV lately with baby! :) Maybe when he is older it will be easier!

  4. I just finished the Christmas Special last night too and I loved loved loved that scene. I clicked on the link to that article and immediately stopped reading when I saw the words Season 6 spoilers. I don't want to know, but I also hope he doesn't break them up. That would be devastating.

  17. Um seriously, all these headbands look adorable on you! The knit one just looks so warm! It's nice to just wear a headband instead of a whole beanie for a more stylish look while still keeping your ears from freezing!

  21. Haha, I hate it when your characters finally get together at the end of season and then within the first episode of the next they are broken up again! That is the worst. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that doesn't happen this time!

I just watched the finale and felt it was a bit too tied up. I am happy about Mr. Carson & Mrs. Hughes finally admitting their feelings for each other. I love this fox sweater, I have it too but my fox decide to go hiding in my closet.

  26. I completely forgot that I own a knitted headband which I ignored all Winter. I love that skirt and I own a similar one, so I should try it with my fox sweater. You look so cute and feminine! =)
