Camel Sweater and Cobalt Skinnies

Matt's been out of town this week and between managing everything at home and work piling up till I can't see my desk or the end of my TO DO list I am going to make an effort to see the positives in life.

1. I know it doesn't feel like it, but the snow WILL melt. Completely. And it will probably start this arduous process very soon.

2. One month from now Matt and I will be in Ireland enjoying time with friends, seeing Dublin again, and hopefully seeing some of the Aran Islands for the first time!

3. We get to have lunch on Sunday with my parents, brother, his fiance, and our niece to celebrate my mom's and brother's birthdays. My mom is making ham balls with cherry sauce and I am making almond torte for dessert. Fun with family and amazing food? Enough said.

4. Starburst jelly beans are now out in stores. You haven't had your obligatory bag yet? What are you waiting for?!

5. Tomorrow is Saturday so we get to sleep in until at least 7am (if Claire lets us). And since Matt is home again we can get back to watching House of Cards! It's been so hard abstaining since he has been gone all week!

I am really looking forward to the time change and more daylight in the evenings. I am not a big fan of the Starburst jellies, but I LOVE Cadbury eggs. I've already had 6 since they've hit the stores :O I am jealous about your trip to Ireland! We are hoping to go to Italy (first time for me, but not for Brian) next year... which, is awhile yet! I love those cobalt blue skinnies... for some reason Target pants NEVER work on my body! I go up 2 sizes and they still don't work. Grr. Maybe I just need to try again with a different pair as this was over a year ago. I love your striped flats, too! Such a cute outfit, I would totally wear it! Have Friday!!

  14. I enjoy reading your "positive list"! I agree we all should be more grateful and positive about our lives, simply for we are healthy, having roof over head, bread on table and surrounded with love.

  16. I absolutely love this layered look with a striped tee instead of a button-up shirt. It looks much more comfy! I like the button-up layered look but it's not very comfortable! I feel more restricted in my movements and the cotton is not nearly as soft as a sweater! I'm sure a tee like this would work much better.

  18. some of my sweaters just don't want to layer over button up shirts, so thank goodness for longsleeve tees to do the trick!

  21. The melting does seem like this impossible thing right now, but hopefully it will be gone before we know it.

I hate it when my to-do list gets so long it seems un-doable. good luck tackling yours.

Enjoy your family time this weekend sound like something to look forward to.

  22. I went up 2 or 3 sizes in these so I always have to belt them, but the legs are so tight! I can't imagine anyone actually fitting into them well. But they were $15 years ago and I keep going back to them!

  27. It's not a show I would typically gravitate towards, but my husband got me into it. It's so full of twists and turns and really keeps you on your toes, so I really like it now! It took a few episodes to get into though.
