Lydia from Chic on the Cheap mentioned in a post last week she has an adjustment period for new things. I would have to agree. It took me a while to like neon, even longer to consider joggers, and for years I couldn't fully embrace hats. At ball games? Sure! For warmth in winter? Duh. But otherwise? I admired them, but I just wasn't sure how I could incorporate them into my style. I have most definitely changed my mind.
Hats literally frame your face. Of any accessory you wear, there is no way anyone could miss a hat. I have been slowly growing my hat collection with a fedora, baseball cap, floppy hat, and now two wool hats from Grace Hats. I just love their modern and unique take on vintages styles like the one I am wearing. I love the details on each hat they make!

I feel the exact same way Laura! My joggers have been hanging in my closet for nearly a year now! I need to stop letting items hang in my closet and try new trends!! Thanks for the encouragement! I love you in hats!! So pretty!! And chambray with black is one of my favorite combos!! Susan
ReplyDeleteThat hat looks great on you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly warming up to hats a little - they are just too perfect for being out in the sun with baby T! And I want to teach him good sun protection habits, I should lead by example!

I am loving this layered look! The hat and scarf are such pretty accessories!
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite look you've worn! Chambray is perfect and I love how you've layered it. This is a look I reach for all the time except for the hat and that's why I love it so much! It looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your hat! It looks great on you! Such a cute, layered look!

I used to wear and own lots of hats. But between 2009 and 2013 I pretty much stopped, IDK why. I got rid of a lot of them. Too bad. I am starting to grow my collection also. That hat is the cutest, totally frames your face and this outfit is ultra-adorable.
ReplyDeleteI showed 2 outfits with hats last week and plan on posting another one with a new hat this week. =)
I really do love that hat and scarf. That scarf looks so comfy!

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about hats. I've been slowly warming up to them over the years. I think you look great in hats. It definitely elevates the whole look. And those boots! They make your legs look a mile long. ~Cynthia
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely on you. I love a good hat - but have a hard time finding the right shape for my face - but hey - it's worth a go, you never know what might come of it! Love the scarf in this outfit too!
