Scarf Season Has Begun!

See how else I've worn this top here and here

Look familiar? The temperatures drop and my response is to pull out my favorite scarf...and pair it with stripes of course! I always say I should remember to wear scarves during the summer but it rarely happens. The first taste of cooler weather and out they come! It was the perfect amount of layers to keep me warm at work before they turn on the furnace though!

  2. I feel weird wearing scarves in the Summer also. I rarely do. This outfit is so cute though. Love how your pretty paisley scarf ties in with the rest of the outfit. It is chilly here today and I have to teach later on. I definitely plan on wearing a scarf and my new black booties.

  12. I don't wear my scarfs in the summer much either, but now that it's getting cold they seem like a sensible accessory. Plus yours is super pretty!

  17. Our temperature goes between spring and fall constantly. It's a little ridiculous honestly. However, scarves are what gets me through the many difference temperature Kansas City brings throughout the day!

  18. Soooo at first I thought the title of this post was "surf season has begun" and I was so confused. I'm losing my mind. Anyway, it really is scarf season (yay!) and you kicked off with a great one. I also really like those corduroys!

  22. How do you tie your scarf? Is it rectangular? I have been so frustrated with mine lately but you look so chic with yours!

  23. Thanks Kate! This is a square one just folded in a triangle. Have you seen this video? http://vimeo.com/36736725 There are some ideas. I like the celeb knot and pretzel!

  24. I really like this outfit! You pull off those corduroys so nicely - I haven't been able to find a pair of cords that I like and that fit me well for years, but they're some of my favorite kinds of pants to wear! I love all the rich fall colors going on here as well :) And I'm a big fan of the navy paisley scarf with the navy striped top...I'm actually wearing the same combo today, haha!!
