Confident Twosday: Leather and Plaid

Top-c/o Le Tote subscription (similar) | Skirt-thredUP (similar, similar) | Booties-DSW (similar, similar) | Necklace-Lia Sophia (similar, similar) | Bracelet-Groopdealz

It's been almost a year since I got this skirt and I still can't believe I got it for less than $10 from thredUP (my referral code for $10 off). I remember thinking that it had to be wrong. It wasn't wrong (thank goodness!) because it is fun to wear. Leather can look a little 'tough' depending on how it's styled. Adding feminine details like soft pastels, ruffles, lace, or pretty jewels can counteract that or you can add booties and plaid and just go for it! Sometimes a little edginess can be fun!

Today Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood is joining us for Confident Twosday. Ada is such a sweetheart and always leaves the nicest comments on everyone's blogs. I am sure they brighten so many days! She has a fun, colorful sense of style and finds really great deals all the time! With my daughter close in age, I love how Ada adds pictures of her daughter on her blog, too. She is such a cutie pie! Make sure you check her blog out!

  3. I was talking yesterday on my Fall-related post that I am looking forward to wearing Leather, Booties and Dark Plaid this Fall. And you nailed this Fall-forward Outfit right on those 3 aspects. I especially love the pencil skirt (what a steal it was!!) and the plaid shirt. You should keep this shirt if it is a decent price. ;-) And I am also wearing a skirt and a top today and one of the pieces is Plaid. It's like we planned ahead lol.

Thanks so much for having me as your co-host today and for such sweet words. I love it that our daughters are so close in age, also. =)

    Happy Tuesday Babe!!

  10. I love it! Plaid & Leather together sounds like it would be super "tough" looking, but you've put together two pieces that are beautiful and classy together.
Also - I wish I had your hair. Gorgeous!

  14. You are owning that leather skirt! I've recently ventured into the world of leather with some pretty mild shoulder patches. Maybe I'll be brave enough for a leather skirt someday. And yes, Ada IS the sweetest!
