For Work and Play

Dress-White Plum (similar, similar, similar, similar) | Belt-Target (similar, similar) | Sandals-Target (exact, similar) | Bracelets-DIYed | Sunglasses-Maui Jim | Necklace-won

I've had the opportunity to wear this dress a few times in the last couple weeks. I love having things that work well in all facets of my life and this dress has been working hard! My parents took us out for our birthday and I wore this. Then I wore it to work last week because dresses are awesome when it's hot out! Last time I tried a skinny belt, but I feel like the wide belt does a lot more for my shape.

I also added one of my go to necklaces. I feel like I need to add a fashion term for the in between size ones. Like a medium necklace. Or maybe halfway necklace? It's not a statement necklace, but it isn't so dainty either. They add a little more pizzazz, but don't quite draw your eye like a statement necklace. I own a few midsize necklaces and really enjoy wearing them.
Do you own a necklace like that? What the heck do you call it, or do you even care about having a name for jewelry? ;)

  2. This is my most favorite dress you have worn this Summer and this is my favorite way you styled it. I am in love with that belt and necklace and the bracelets you made yourself.

As far as necklaces: the regular and dainty ones I just call necklaces, then I have the statement necklaces, bubble necklaces and long necklaces. That's the 4 categories I break them into lol.

    Happy Monday Friend!!

P.S. Love the necklaces & sandals you linked to. Great deals on them, as well.

  14. I can see getting a ton of use out of that dress. You could wear it with leggings and boots or tights and heels or flats once it gets colder. I really like the wide belt. Great choice :)

  15. What a pretty dress! I never really considered that a wide belt might be more flattering than a skinny one. I don't own much in the way of wide belts, so maybe I'll give them a shot. You look great!

  16. I have no idea what you would call that kind of necklace! I'd probably just think of it as its shape or give it a funny name to remember it by. Also, I love that dress!
