Teal and Houndstooth

I remember in middle school and the first part of high school I hated my arms. I was scared to wear sleeveless tops. My first day of freshman year I took a leap of faith and wore a tank top...and was self-conscious the whole day. It is so ridiculous how hard we are on ourselves. Why is there a need to pick apart our body? Clearly I got over my silly notion that everyone would be looking at me with my tank top and thinking how fat my arms are. I have slowly learned to accept how I look (most days anyway). What I have also learned is that people really don't pick apart your outfits or how you look in them. They are probably more concerned about themselves. So be confident and wear your outfits proudly! (or your yoga pants, because let's be honest, there can be those days...) ;)

  5. We all feel that way - I didn't wear shorts for about 8 years because of how I felt about my thighs. But I think if nothing else, having a blog helps us to see just how beautiful we are just as we are. Love this ruffled tank on you, you should wear it all the time!

  6. I so agree with you. I always tell people I dress for me and I don't care what people have to say about my outfit. Have a great weekend.

  7. Yeah, I totally have a thing about my knees! Showing them in my latest blog post was a big deal for me. LOL. But yeah, they are not my star feature, but ...we're silly hard on ourselves, aren't we? You, my dear, are always GORGEOUS! Love the houndstooth with teal!

  11. The teal is great with houndstooth. I'm starting to get self-conscious in tank tops too. Why are we so hard on ourselves?

  12. I love your houndstooth skirt, I recently bought one but ended up taking it back as I just wasn't happy with the length. I do like yours though. Looks great with the teal top - perfect for your skin tone.

  13. I love all things houndstooth, so I really like this outfit! I have a similar houndstooth skirt, so I'll have to recreate this soon.
My dad used to say to me that "the only person judging you is YOU!" So true, but sometimes hard to remember :)

  15. This is a great outfit combo! Girls are so hard on themselves. It's something I have to remind myself constantly- I'm probably the only one noticing my small flaws and should just be proud of each outfit I wear. You rock it girl!
