I had a different outfit planned for this day and I don't even remember what it was. I'm pretty sure that's why I changed it to this. I am really happy with how it turned out though. The casual vest and necklace are such a fun juxtaposition.
So we have a fun week ahead. My sister-in-law is visiting and taking care of Claire this week. I have a feeling they will both be exhausted by the time we get home from work today! It's so much fun when family visits and I know Claire enjoys herself. I am grateful we have family that make the trip to see her (and hopefully see us, too). Saturday we are taking family pictures with Matt's side of the family. The color palette is navy and green so we will see what I come up with because it hasn't really entered my mind yet!

I love the gingham and white denim together! Good luck deciding on your outfit, and at least with your recent closet inventory, you know just what you have!

Yay for the utility vest - probably the best outfit add-on ever! Have a great time with your SIL this week - that is so awesome that she was willing to come to visit and hang out with Claire!
ReplyDeleteO family pics are so awkward. I saw a fam pic lately and they all wore white or tan or beige. It was actually very beautiful. It was predominately white and it was stunning. I love your vest. I finally got some camo pants last night at a grand opening sale at Savers. Yay!
ReplyDeleteOunces like a great but busy week. The gingham and utility is really cute here.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ashley! Adding a utility vest to my wardrobe was the best decision I ever made :) You look absolutely stunning, Laura!
ReplyDeleteA VERY CHIC CASUAL, PUT-TOGETHER OUTFIT. Love the vest and the shirt. =)
ReplyDeleteI love this gingham! It would look really great with green if you happened to have some color schemed dress up opportunities in your near future...just sayin :)
ReplyDeleteLove your utility vest with this outfit - I'm adding it to my list of "need to purchase"! You look great.
ReplyDeleteSometimes outfits that happen by accident are the best! LOVE this one so clean and crisp for summer--but I love the extra layer of the utility jacket. We all know the weather can be cray this time of year :)

It's mind boggling sometimes how much the weather can vary from region to region; I look at your outfit, and I immediately start sweating. Good luck figuring out what to wear for the photo shoot!
ReplyDeleteYou and I must have been on the same wavelength today--I also wore blue gingham and olive!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you decide to wear for the photos!
What a gorgeous outfit- love this! (And I think I can recreate it with items in my closet- although I don't have a vest..but I have a cargo jacket!) Have a great week too- excited to see what outfit you put together for the family photo!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with you SIL.
