Coral and Leopard

Well it has been quite the week for hockey in our house. To say my husband is a Chicago sports fan would be a bit of an understatement.

I swear as soon as a Blackhawks, White Sox, or Bears game comes on you'd swear he is actually from the southside. He literally develops an accents that lasts the game. He and his dad facetime almost every game, especially once playoffs start. There is a slight delay on our tv and the delay in comments between them is hilarious! Matt can be fairly superstitious about it all so I try to use this to my advantage as much as possible. Like, remember the last time they scored a goal you were helping me fold laundry? You should do that again so they win. Oh I can be so sneaky! ;) It's kind of too bad there won't be any more hockey till next season. Maybe I can use this to my advantage with baseball now...

See how else I've worn this top here, here, and here

  21. I have been following your blog for a while now and love it, but this is my first time to comment. My only excuse is that during the school year I'm too tired, so I just sit back, read and enjoy. LOL. Anyway, I love your outfits (and you are beautiful, btw), your thrifty shopping habits (omg, how do some bloggers ever afford it?), and your perky, fun personality.
But now down to business: You frequently mention altering your things, in particular a sweater in a post this past week. I've recently gone down two sizes, which is great, but I have some really nice things that I could continue to wear if I knew how to alter them. Would you consider doing an occasional how-to post?
Thanks, and again, love your blog!

  23. Thank you so much Charlene! I actually want to do a few tutorials. I hear you on how crazy the school year can get so I haven't gotten to them quite yet! I'd like to do one on taking in a button up and then a general one on jersey material. Those are as far as my sewing skills go though. I don't have much experience and only tackle sewing projects that I wouldn't mind messing up on since I am still learning. (and seriously, how do some people afford all that?!) ;)

  25. I would love to learn how to take in a button up! Just today I tried on two of mine, both in great condition and that go with lots of things, but just too big. So, yes, please...do a tutorial (but catch your breath from the school year first, if you're like me!). Thanks again.
