Blue Chevron and Yellow

The last time I wore this dress I paired it with pastels, but I thought next time around I wanted to try it with brights! I have only worn these flats once since I got them so it was nice to pull them out again.

In other clothing news it seems to be shaping up to a good mail week. I have a couple giveaway wins on my way that I am very excited about, a thred up order, Target order, and an Old Navy order. I am really not sure what I will end up keeping, but I haven't been able to get to the mall lately so I ordered things I want to try out. I figured I can return what I don't and there is a great excuse to actually get myself to the mall!

I have been on a shoe kick lately with my new Converse and other purchases. I got these heels from Kohls a few weeks ago. No I don't really wear heels much, but I put them on and they just made me feel good. You know those shoes or clothes. I figured I can at least wear them on our anniversary date coming up. Hopefully we don't go mini putting or anything. Then I ordered these and these from Target as possible sandal options. I have wanted a low wedge sandal I could wear with shorts or dresses and one of these might fit the bill. I looked for real leather, but haven't been able to find ones I liked anywhere.

Since donating both pairs of my navy pants, I ordered these ones from Old Navy and hope they fit! I threw a few tops in my cart like this one as a dressier striped tee, this one hopefully for a summer staple, this one in yellow for some neon in my wardrobe, this floral tee, and this one in the bouquet color. Since part of my order to thred up* was a similar colored Express portofino top I think I will be returning the Old Navy one. And I also tried on the striped tee in store this weekend and thought the fit was way too boxy. The rest of it is pretty up in the air!
Do you order clothes sometimes just try on clothes and get packages?

*that is my thred up referral code for $10 off your first purchase. if you buy something I get a $10 credit, too.

  1. I love this dress! I feel like these past few days your outfits have jumped from early spring to full on summer (in the best way possible). I do a lot of online shopping and returning... of course, who doesn't love getting something in the mail? Hope many of your new purchases work out!

  3. What a cute dress! I tried on that striped ON top in store yesterday and you're right, it's really boxy, which is too bad because it was really cute otherwise.

  4. ha, I do sometimes order just for the fun of it, but only if there's free shipping. And only if I actually really love the items. I used to get in trouble with my husband for it (he never believed me when I said "these are going back, I only got them to try them out") but I'm sure if he liked getting mail half as much as I do, he'd understand. What color heels did you get? I've seen those before, but never tried them on. Can't wait to see how you style them!

  5. Tell me about it! The weather here has been jumping from 80s to 60s and back again! I wish I lived in a place with a gradual season change, but no luck yet! ;)

  6. I got them in nude and can't wait to wear them! Sometimes I just order things because they are never the same in person as they are in a picture. I have to see them and try them on....and I'm too lazy or too busy to get to the store!

  7. It really is! I like the fabric and how it is a little dressier than a typical striped tee. I love the light blue color, but it's definitely not a keeper with the fit.

  8. I love your curls! So pretty! And this dress is gorgeous. I try not to order things online unless I'm pretty sure I want to keep them, because I'm not the best at getting to the store to return them. I have a couple things I actually need to return right now and haven't gotten around to it!

  10. I absolutely love ordering online. Until I have to freaking wait for shipping. That is the WORST!

  11. I think it's easier to order on line since most stores offer free shipping. I would rather try things on at home vs the store dressing room! Super cute dress! Love the chevron print!

  15. That color combo is fantastic!! I also love ordering things online and anxiously tracking their arrival. With my Victoria's Secret orders recently, I've been waiting impatiently for them to arrive, even if the items don't work out!

You will have fun when all of your parcels arrive! Hopefully they don't all arrive at once, haha!

  21. I tried them on yesterday and really like them! They are pretty comfy so the other pair is going back. I might even try a DIY and glitter the toe strap, too!

  23. You look adorable in your beautiful curls and super cute chevron dress. And I was nosy, I clicked at every link to see what you got. Keep ALL the shoes. They are such gorgeous sandals. Also love the Baseball Tee and Floral Tee.

  24. There's the curly hair I love so much again!! ;) I really, REALLY like this outfit, Laura! I'm not sure I would have thought to wear this dress with yellow and orange, but boy, am I glad you did it - it looks wonderful!

  25. I think I am only returning the second pair of Target sandals because they are pretty similar. I want to try glittering the toe strap on the first pair. It will be a fun DIY! And the floral tee is really cute but fits a little short so it's going back. The baseball tee will be a nice staple though!

  26. The dress is not only pretty but also versatile. I can see it going well with red, yellow, coral, green and navy blue cardigans.

  27. I honestly have no idea! I just kept wrapping and winding it and that's how it turned out! We will see if I can duplicate it ever again! ;)
