Mustard and Ivory

Blouse-F21 (similar, similar) | Cardigan-Target (similar, similar) | Skirt-Loft, thrifted (similar, similar) | Scarf-souvenir (similar, similar) | Necklace-Lia Sophia | Boots-Espirit (similar, similar)

I took inspiration from this pin and just made it work for things I had already. I like the mustard and ivory together and might try the cardigan buttoned and tucked in next time. Also, any tips on how to wear a scarf like this one? It's really lightweight and thin and totally unlike all my other scarves so I am at a bit of a loss. I'm just not sure I can pull off tying it in a bow at my neck.
How do you wear your thin scarves?

  1. Mustard and ivory are a really lovely combination. I feel like I struggle with scarfs, they often overwhelm me. Recently I took a really thin one like that and sewed the ends together to turn it into an infinity scarf.

  3. I really like mustard and ivory together and I don't think I ever would have put the two together. I love recreating a pin with stuff you already have!

  4. This is a really pretty color combination! I try to wear my thinner scarves the same way I wear my others, I tie mine a couple different ways, but they don't always cooperate. Then I usually go with the over-under style (like this http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2013/01/a-simply-pretty-way-to-tie-a-scarf.html) and it works best for me because it stays in place.

  6. I love this scarf! Lightweight scarves are perfect for this time of year! I like to tie the corners together to make a faux infinity scarf! Or check this out:http://www.scarves.net/scarf-tying-index.html

  13. Your scarf & skirt are so pretty. You interpreted the pin so well. You can totally wear that scarf in a bow. Since it is longer, keep the bow on the front, a little lower like a necklace not tight around the neck. =) Hope my tip helps - try it!
