11. Loft beaded shirt-Twice (similar, similar) $2.90
Total: $164.48 ($51.59 of late March purchases, true April total is $112.89)

Well, these is going to be a little confusing because I bought a few things at the very end of March. I purchased the sandals and gingham shirt, and returned my yoga pants so technically that brings my March total to $86.06 instead of $44.47. That would mean my April total is $112.89. Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Absolutely not. But I want to be transparent and I want it known I didn't actually go over budget! That would be like losing at the game only I am playing. ;)

This month was a mix of items that will help add versatility to my closet (gingham shirt, polka dot chambray, ankle pants, purple cardigan) and things that caught my eye (necklaces, dress, flats, striped top). And sandals which are replacements for some of my old ones. Most of these I've worn a few times already and the other ones I am just waiting for slightly warmer weather (grr!). For next month I have a maxi skirt and maxi dress on my mind, but not much else. Hopefully I don't get many things though because I've completely run out of things to get rid of to make sure I am still doing one in and one out!

  1. I love it! You can get so much wear out of these items and for more than a few seasons! Nice!! I should keep better track of my stuff like this too.

I nominated you for a Liebster award this week too! http://www.themummychronicles.com/2014/04/liebster-award.html

  3. Basically everything you got this month, I need/want in my closet too. I can probably do without the tee, the cardigan, the pink pants (since I own some Hot Pink Pants already even-though they are not Crops) and the dress (though I absolutely love your dress). I can probably do without the black-dotted chambray too though I wouldn't mind having it - I love it. The other things I need too, like a Blue Gingham Shirt (read today's post LOL), some Striped Flats, BOTH of those Necklaces, those Sandals & some Spring-Colored Striped Boat-neck Shirts. This is my favorite shopping month of yours this year. I skipped last month and may combine March + April's purchases in a post but it is A LOOOOT! You went for a nice small budget again - so proud of you.

And congrats on the Liebster Award, too.

  8. I understand your need to explain the budget! I roll my overages into the next month, so I am less likely to lose at my own game. And I rolled my overages from last year into this year, so I'm still winning, even though I've been bad in 2014! You got some cute stuff!!

  9. Great mix of items this month! I'm loving the angles on that striped JCP dress-- they have some good stuff these days! I had a bad month in terms of spending myself--shameful but I think posting about it will help me feel better haha!
