Coral and Stripes

No Twofer Tuesday today! I just didn't have time to get blog posts put together this weekend on account of all we did! Hey life happens and we've all got to live life and not just blog about it. ;)

Friday I tried a freezer meal workshop with a friend and had so much fun. It's kind of becoming popular around here, I don't know about other places though. It's through a company called Wildtree. You bring the meats and other ingredients on their list, purchase their spices and make about 10 meals to freeze in one night! It seems to be about the cost I would spend per person and it was a great reason to hang out with friends. We haven't had a chance to try any of the meals yet, but it was a great excuse to have a girls' night, drink wine, and best of all I left with 10 dinners made!

Saturday was my little cousin's birthday. He is a little older than Claire and so she had fun seeing my parents, family, and the birthday boy and playing with everyone. We even get to have another playdate with him and her other cousin this coming weekend! I love that she is at the age where she is starting to play with other kiddos. So fun to watch!

Sunday we had my in laws come visit for the night. We had a lovely time with them and I learned how to hem jeans and alter a vest of mine. My mother in law is really talented with her sewing and I love learning some great, practical skills. And I'm pretty sure Claire got enough attention and love this weekend. It was a fun few days, but man I need another weekend to recover from this one!

  4. I haven't heard of freezer-meal-making parties. That is a cool idea! I always think I should make freezer meals more often, so I have easy meals on hand during the week, but I never want to take the time on the weekend to do it. It would be way more fun if I was hanging out with friends at the same time!

  8. I love coral and stripes. I'm trying to put together that perfect look. I have tons of pieces but they are not coming out like I want. I'm thinking I'm trying too hard. This outfit is giving me inspiration. Hope you are having a great day. Can you get some sunshine already?! Boo to the snow.

  9. Looove coral..and the black and white shirt makes it pop even more! I have a ton of darker colored blazers (winter colors in my opinion) so I need to invest in a lighter colored one for spring!

  12. Thanks Katherine! I feel like scarves can add another dimension to an outfit with a pop of color or print! :) And I have so many of them I need to find ways to wear them more!

  16. It was nice because the menu was preplanned and there was a specific shopping list. Basically all I had to do was put things in freezer bags. Otherwise I wouldn't know where to start!
