Leather and Cobalt

Top-Design History c/o (similarsimilarsimilar) | Scarf-souvenir from Mexico (similar, similar) | Pants-Old Navy (similar, similar) | Flats-Target (similar, similar) | Watch-Michael Kors | Ring-gift

It looks like this outfit has been swapped a few times! The original is from Kacie at Kacie's Kloset (post here, pinned here), but Agi from Vodka Infused Lemonade (post here), and Jenn from The Brandied Pair (post here) have recreated it. I can see why though. It's a casual, but really cute look! I've been wanting a leather accented shirt for a long time and the color, style, and fit of this one is perfect!

Have you tried out leather accents?

  9. I love that you made Kacie's Look totally your own, just like Agi did. That new Deep Blue Top is beautiful. I have yet to get one with Leather Accents. Congrats getting it for free. It is a perfect match with that beautiful light-weight scarf. The Camel Skinny Cords look adorable with it. =)

  12. Thank you Corinne! I use an inch wide flat iron to curl my hair. I have thick, almost coarse hair and this is the only way it stays curly all day! Here is a tutorial I used when learning:
    http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/2011/11/curling-with-flat-iron.html

I twist the curling iron about 180 degrees though so I get a nice curl since my hair is longer than in the tutorial. It took a little practice, but I love how it turns out! :)

  13. Your look turned out really cute and there is a reason so many have re-created it
I had a green shirt with leather sleeves and I can't find that sucker anywhere!!

  14. Nicely done with the leather-detailed tee! And are those skinny cords? The color and texture of those skinnies are really interesting. :)

  15. Well ain't it fun working with Kacie. She is so fun and funny {witty}. I love those pants. I wish I had some just like them. I haven't shopped at Old Navy in years. Isn't that silly?

  16. The only leather accented things I own are a blue top with trim along the neckline (from Target- who would have thought?!) and my leather trimmed black dress coat. Super cute look!

  18. What a fun top! I don't have anything with leather accents, but I really do like the tees that have a leather pocket, or some leather trim. I really like the pants and top together!

  19. They are skinny cords. I think the texture is off because I left them in the dryer too long and they got wrinkled! ;)

  20. The leather accent is so cool, love that you paired it with a brown cord. It's an interesting combination that looks great!

  21. Laura! I love that you are wearing flats in snow. I know, I know we want spring and all the snow to go away and melt and stop snowing, huh? You look as charming as ever in this ensemble. Thanks for your dedication to Fashion item Friday and for your fun comments each day. Yay to YOU!!!♥

  22. I have to admit, I wear my boots in to work then change into my flats during the day! That way my feet aren't freezing, but I still get to wear my flats! :) Hope you are having a great weekend!

  23. I still love those corduroy pants on you, Laura! The color is so rich and warm, and they look great on you!

  24. Thanks Brynn! I always worry they are a bit too short when I wear them with flats, but we will just call them ankle length! ;) And at $8 I wasn't about to say no!
