A Little DIYed Love

This is actually what I wore on Valentine's Day and I figured I needed to get it up here before we were too far removed from the holiday. We had an early release (for students, definitely not for us!) on that day and because we were going to be on meetings and it was Friday which tends to be more casual anyway I decided to be comfortable. I don't think you can get much more comfortable than UGGs and a sweatshirt. Maybe leggings or yoga pants, but I didn't want to take it too far!

I really just wanted an excuse to wear my DIYed sweatshirt. This tutorial caught my eye a couple weeks ago and I have been wanting to try it out. I found my sweatshirt on clearance at Target for $10 and I already had felt on hand. I am so pleased with the results. A couple people even thought it was just from the store (although they didn't look too closely at the sewing job)! I almost want to go back and get another sweatshirt and try it with a different word or phrase!

  6. Thanks! Sometimes I worry wearing UGGs is a fashion faux pas after seeing a few posts from other bloggers. I figured at least these are the cardigan ones and I love them to much to let them sit in my closet!

  22. Thanks! It probably took me about an hour. I am a pretty novice sewer though and took my time. I had to try it on a couple times and repin it until I got it right. :)

  23. I hope to! That was actually the reason I chose a gray sweatshirt like the tutorial. I figured it wasn't too Valentine-y!
