For the next couple months, I will be collaborating with Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood to bring you our winter must haves. Each week we will be featuring some clothing items we can't live without during the winter. This first week we are featuring cozy sweaters and sweater dresses. I love her wintery look and clearly we both had red and black on our minds! Make sure you check out Ada's spring and fall versions of this series! Hope you enjoy!

I got this sweater as a gift and was initially a little stumped on how to wear it. The whole thing is cut bell-shaped. But, I liked the color and collar detail. The coziness factor was another plus so I had to figure out a way to wear it so it wouldn't overwhelm my figure. To balance out the larger cut of it, I've tried it with skinny jeans, or a pencil skirt. They both work well, but I think my favorite is paired with this pencil skirt!
Looks like we both had gray on our mind, too! I like how we both showcased different types of sweaterdresses. Ada's is a pretty striped one, tunic style while mine is cut a more like a traditional dress. Love her contrasting scarf, too!

I love sweaterdresses for colder weather. They are such a great way to dress up and stay warm. I find sweaterdresses easy to move around in and wear them outside of work, casually as well. They can be such a versatile piece in your closet!

YOU LOOK GREAT, OBVIOUSLY! I love both of your looks as I mentioned on my blog, today, as well. My first Outfit is the first one. That Houndstooth Pencil Skirt is Lovely. Like you and I both stated (in the same exact words even!! LOL) we both had Red, Black & White in our minds. I love your Open Red Cardigan, so Fun & Unique and a great Holiday Color! Your Sweater Dress from The Limited is Beautiful & Polished, too. No wonder, it comes from my favorite store. =)
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this sweaterdress! I think it has a different shape than most sweater dresses I've seen.
