Car Rides

I wore this outfit on the way home from visiting family after Christmas. Choosing outfits for car rides is always tough. You want to be comfortable, layer so you are never too warm or cold, and you don't want to look like a schlump whenever you get out of the car.

For me, layering is always the most important factor. I don't know about anyone else, but car temperature is typically an issue. My husband always seems to have the sun beating down on his side of the car, turns down the heat, while I am left shivering! For now, layers do the trick. For the future, I think next time we get a car it should have duel temperature control and heated/cooled seats!

I know, layering is the best. I have found that a thermal knit shirt, {in a more dressy vibe design} with a lighter shirt and a jacket {similar to a levi/denim type} keeps me just right in the car. Your ensemble is tremendous. I love how comfortable you look!

  12. I like your idea of a dual control car. ;-) Hahaha.

On a fashion note you look great and have perfected the layering. It proves what I always say that Striped B+W Tops, Chambray Shirts & Cognac Boots go with everything. =)

  14. Love it! The layers are perfect. The only change I would make is swapping the boots for something easier to slip on and off, as I like to take my shoes off and sit cross-legged when I'm in the passenger seat. I don't know why. But it's the only way I can survive long car rides if I'm not driving haha.

  15. I normally like shoes I can take off, too. I just couldn't fit my boots in my bag so I had to wear them! ;) I like to sit that way, too sometimes in the car... until my legs fall asleep!
