Altered

Sweater-JCP (exact) // Skirt- Ralph Lauren via Goodwill (similar) // Tights-Target // Booties-Target (exact) // Scarf-souvenir from London // Bracelet- Groopdealz // Ring-gift

Yes, you have seen this skirt before and it was about 5 inches longer (here). The last time my in-laws visited, my mother in law was kind enough to show me a hem stitch. I shortened this skirt and another one and plan on shortening at least one other. They were well made skirts and at $5, I couldn't resist them. I think this length is better for my height though.

I wanted to apologize for being a little MIA with commenting this past week. I've been battling a continued horrible cold along (yes the same one I mentioned 2 weeks ago) and so has the rest of my family. Between too much work and not enough sleep, I haven't been able to comment back and visit all of your lovely blogs. I'm hoping to catch up this weekend and next week since we aren't traveling anywhere far for Thanksgiving this year.

Hope you all have a happy weekend and stay healthy!

  3. You look great. I love the photos by the cozy fireplace. You are making those White or are they Ivory Tights work so well. Great Combo of Navy, Kelly Green, Off-White & Camel. I love the Booties and the Skirt is better in this shorter length.

I purchased this same Sweater as a gift for one of my cousins while in the States, just recently. It is her favorite color. I have a pretty much identical one from The Limited. =)

I hope by the time you read this, you are feeling a lot better. Be careful that Claire doesn't catch a bug. They are so young. Enjoy your weekend, Ada. =)

  7. Thank you Ada, I like it better shorter too. I don't have much kelly green, but it is such a fun color. And with my coupon it was only $1.05 so I couldn't say no to that! Still working on getting better, hopefully the doctor will give me more medicine tomorrow. Claire caught a little cold, but I think she is starting to feel better. Rough few weeks for us, so we are looking forward to our long Thanksgiving weekend!

  11. I love the shortened skirt! Definitely looks better on you! And I hope you feel better soon. I'm having the same problem. I thought my cold was gone, but it is just hanging on. Maybe resting up over Thanksgiving will help!

  12. I am hoping for that (or that the doctor gives me more meds when I visit again tomorrow). You know it's getting ridiculous when you start to forget what 'healthy' feels like! Hope you feel better soon!
