Pop of Red

Blouse- Gap (similar, similar) // Cardigan-Target (exact) // Skirt- Loft via Goodwill (similar, similar) // Tights- Target (similar) // Boots- Etienne Aigner via Shoes.com // Necklaces-DIYed and gift // earrings and bracelets- gifts // Ring-TJ Maxx // Watch-Michael Kors

This skirt was one of those Goodwill finds I loved, but wasn't exactly sure what to wear it with. Later that month when I was doing my monthly budget post, I found a photo of the skirt with tights (sorry I can't find the original source). I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I thought the tights were reddish (but were really black-Good thing I get new glasses soon). Anyway, I liked the effect and how well the soft pink and red went together. I put my own spin on it by wearing my favorite boots and pattern mixing with my floral top. I am really happy with all the textures and soft colors, but a pop of red. How funny the bad photo (or bad memory?) inspired my outfit!

  3. Stacy and Clinton would be so proud. Pattern, color, texture and (possibly, I can't tell if the skirt is shiny or not) shine all in one outfit! I love the skirt, both the texture and the pattern, and those red tights make the outfit for me. Good thing you remembered wrong! ;)

  12. Me too! There are so many fun colors and textures in tights you can use to add to your outfit (and it helps they are practical during the cold midwest winter to keep my legs warm!).

  13. There is a little bit of shine. Thank you so much Kim! I was honestly a little scared when I wore this to work, but it was a good scared. I felt like I was pushing myself with color and pattern mixing. :)
