Priorities

Without a solid two hours of down time (aka Claire's nap time during which I am now at work), I haven't had as much time to write blog posts. I have a back log of pics, but to edit them and write a post  takes more time and energy than I currently have. I know I've been posting everyday since the beginning, but I think it's time to cut back. It will be great to focus more on the time I get to spend with my family. So, I've decided I won't be posting regularly on weekends anymore. I'd rather have better quality posts throughout the week than ones I've slapped together at 10pm them night before (as I nervously cough and look guilty)! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

PS- This will NOT be the last you have seen of my white jeans this fall! :)

  1. cute outfit! I plan to wear my white jeans all through Fall! I had to stop posting on weekends myself because of time. It was more important to me not to spread myself too thin!

  4. I completely agree with your choice to cut back on weekends! I try to post Sunday-Thursday, and then throw some silent pictures up on Saturday. That way I don't have to stress on my weekend!

  6. I agree! I think I'd like to start linking to similar items in my posts, so if I cut out weekend posts (or at least Sunday posts) I might have time to do that.

  8. Thanks! I did make it myself (just don't look too closely ;) It was one of my first sewing projects when I got my machine a couple years ago. I used this tutorial: http://www.merricksart.com/2011/11/dolman-sleeve-top-tutorial.html

  10. I did! I used this tutorial: http://www.merricksart.com/2011/11/dolman-sleeve-top-tutorial.html. It wasn't too hard, I even made another one! They are jersey material which was great when I was pregnant.

  11. I used to do weekend posts when I first started blogging as well, but I found it hard to keep up, and you're right, it takes away from valuable time with the family! I use weekends to write posts, plan outfits, etc. Every once in a while, I even take outfit photos of my weekend outfits and post them during the week. I also used to take my photos the day I wore the outfit and got the post up that day, but that has been difficult to do this summer and now at the start of my school year. Instead, I have a little backlog of pictures as well that I insert in the following week, giving me time to put posts together instead of being so haphazard (oops). It has been working well so far!

  12. Wow! Photos the day of and then posting later! That would be hard to keep up with. It's nice to have a little backlog of pics in case you get sick or want to take a few day break. :)
